Confined Space

Confined Space Initial - 1 day

A program for those who need to enter, work in, or inspect confined spaces. Appropriate for people performing sentry or stand-by person roles with emergency rescue team backup.

Confined Space Intermediate - 2 day

In depth course for those entering/working in a confined space where there is a potential for toxic vapours/gases. Designed to teach participants how to identify confined space hazards, work safely within confined spaces to an issued permit and operate confined space equipment.

Confined Space Advanced - 3 day program

This program involves the Initial & Intermediate course plus it covers rescue in more complex confined space environments as a team member or a member of a single agency. The application of this unit in the workplace covers a range of confined space rescue situations and rescue by personnel from the organisationwhere confined space work is undertaken. MSMWHS216 -Operate breathing apparatus & HLTAID001–Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation have an annual recertification period

Confined Spaces Refresher - 8 hours

Review training in previously awarded units, relating to confined space activities.

Advanced Rescue Operation - 1 day

Course allows clients to update their knowledge of legislation and industry competency and requirements to undertake Confined Space rescue or be a member of a rescue team, involving operator injury of accident. Typically designed for ERT members.

Gas Test Atmospheres - 1/2 day

Training is suitable for those that may be required to challenge test the gas monitor and gas test an atmosphere prior to enter or work in a space.

Operate Breathing Apparatus - 1/2 day

Competence associated with the operation of breathing equipment in a potentially dangerous atmosphere.

Issue Work Permits - 1/2 day

This course ensures that staff responsible for issuing permits have the required knowledge and skills to do so.

Working at Heights Training

Emergency Descent Device

This course provides trainees with the knowledge and skills required to demonstrate competencies in the use of an Emergency Descent Device.

Work Safely at Heights - 1 Day

Program for those that are required to safely work at heights or depths including heights rescue.

Tower Rescue Training - 2 days

Those who may be required to work on towers or similar structures and covers the performance of tower rescue procedures as an emergency procedure required in the work place. This training is very physical.

Vertical Rescue Training - 4 days

A unit for vertical rescue operations by rescue teams, typically performed by emergency services, emergency response teams and/or other operational teams. Tasks include performing rope rescue to extract a co-worker who is injured or suspended.

Operate Elevating Work Platform - 1 day

Yellow card recipients will be able to operate a Vertical Lift, Scissor Lift or boom type EWP’s under 11m height.

Fire Fighting Training

Demonstrate First Attack Firefighting Equipment - 4 hours

Program designed for those that require the knowledge and skills to operate first response fire fighting equipment.

Fire Warden Training (Evacuation) - 1/2 day

Designed to provide learners with skills knowledge and experience to perform duties of an area warden.

Chief Fire Warden - 4 hours

This course is relevant for people who are required to perform the leadership role of Chief or Deputy Chief Fire Warden at your workplace.

Prerequisite: PUAWER005B – Operate as part of an Emergency Control Organisation

Work safely with industrial chemicals and materials - 1/2 day

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to handle dangerous goods and hazardous substances, identifying the particular hazards, emergency procedures and observing safe working practices.

Perform Rescue from a Live Low Voltage (LV) Panel - 1/2 day

Will provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to rescue, resuscitate and treat a casualty in a low voltage emergency.

Basic Oxygen Administration - 4 hours

Training designed for those required to provide oxygen therapy and oxygen resuscitation prior to professional assistance

Manual Handling - 4 hours

This unit of competency covers identifying, assessing and controlling manual handling risks across a range of workplaces and industries.

Work Safely & Risk Control – ½ Day

Identifying, assessing and controlling risks in the workplace as well as following site specific practices and procedures. The worker will also be capable of participating in and contributing to WH&S management issues.

Advanced Resuscitation

This course deals with the provision of advanced First Aid resuscitation techniques, life support, and management of casualty(s) until the arrival of medical or other assistance, and provision of support to other providers.

HLTAID001 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

For those who require the necessary skills to provide CPR to a cardiac arrest casualty.

Provide First Aid including CPR

This program is to provide participants with training in basic life support and in the first aid processes and management of all injuries.
